During the exciting University of Houston’s Men’s Cougar basketball game against Jackson State, HR&P proudly sponsored the Military Salute of the Game! The Fertitta Center showed Rajarshi Kundu from the United States Army a standing ovation and roaring applause during the HR&P Military Salute of the Game. Rajarshi served our country from 2017 to 2020 ranking as a private first class in the U.S. Army. During his service he made multiple deployments overseas including one to Poland and another to Germany. [...]

In the HR&P Military Salute of the Game, Staff Sergeant Jacob Wiggins from the United States Army was honored and appreciated. Jacob enlisted in the United States Army Band, "Pershing’s Own" in 2020 and was appointed principal horn in 2023. The Coogs had the privilege of welcoming Staff Sergeant Micah Quin Garrison of the United States Army at the Iowa State game. Micah served our country from 1999 to 2005 as an infantry squad leader, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6).
