Honoring Those Who Serve: HR&P Sponsors UH Football Military Salute During OSU Game

HR&P is proud to sponsor the University of Houston’s Football Military Salute of the Game, honoring Specialist Nicholas G. Simon of the United States Army.

Joined by his wife, Imelda, Nicholas was recognized for his service in the U.S. Army Reserves and U.S. Army from 1987 to 1993. During his service, he deployed in support of Operation Desert Storm in 1991 with the 340th Chemical Company, attached to the 82nd Airborne Division, where he volunteered for the first assault.

A proud University of Houston alumnus, Nicholas earned his bachelor’s degree from the College of Education in 1995 and his law degree from the UH Law Center in 2001. His dedication to the Cougar community extends beyond his education through his generous support of UH Athletics, the UH Law Center, the College of Education, and the Catholic Newman Center at UH. He is also a member of the Cougar Pride Coaches’ Club and has contributed to capital building projects for TDECU Stadium and the UH Law Center.

We are grateful for the opportunity to honor Nicholas and recognize his service to our country and continued commitment to the University of Houston.

Thank you for your service, Nicholas!
