Honoring Our Heroes: HR&P Military Salute of the Game
At HR&P, we’re proud to continue our partnership with the University of Houston Athletics through the Military Salute of the Game, recognizing the courage and sacrifice of those who have served our country.
During the matchup between the University of Houston Cougars and the Texas Tech Red Raiders, UH Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Eddie Nuñez had the honor of presenting the game ball to Robert “RJ” Osborne, a distinguished veteran of the United States Air Force.
RJ served as a Senior Airman with the 62nd Aerial Port Squadron, specializing in logistics. Throughout his service, he completed multiple deployments, both overseas and within the U.S., including to Diego Garcia, Masirah Island, Oman, Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, and Djibouti.
His dedication and courage have earned him numerous honors, including the Air Force Commendation Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon, and the Nuclear Deterrence Medal.
RJ was joined on the field by his wife, Katie, and their son, Cannon, as fans filled TDECU Stadium with applause and appreciation for his service.
HR&P is deeply honored to support this tradition, celebrating the men and women who embody service, strength, and commitment. These values inspire us every day.
Thank you to Senior Airman RJ Osborne and all members of the U.S. Armed Forces for their dedication to protecting our freedom.
